Performance Research Lab

PRL

The Performance Research Lab at the University of Oregon is focused on the analysis of high performance computing. Our primary research area is in instrumentation using our Tuning and Analysis Utilities. TAU forms the foundation for other research, including automatic instrumentation of profiling and tracing, profiling compensation, and database management and anlysis of profiling data.

The Lab falls under the University of Oregon Neuroinformatics Center, directed by Dr. Allen Malony. Dr. Sameer Shende is the primary architect of TAU, and coordinates the research and development of the TAU toolkit.
