I am a native Oregonian and although I've made it as far away as Japan I can't seem to stay away from the Northwest for long. I think it's something about the weather.

I am especially interested in marine biology, simulation of biological systems visualization of bioinfomatic data and high performance computational applications in both cellular and molecular biology and neurology. I also enjoy technical writing.

Lately I've been working at the University of Oregon's performance research lab on performance profile and trace format conversion utilities, documentation and Eclipse plugin development for the TAU project. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, hiking, programming and numerous other gerunds.
